Star Sports is the official broadcasting media partner for the live coverage of ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in India and its nearby regions such as Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, & Afghanistan. All Matches of ICC T20 WC 2021 can be streamed live on OTT Platforms such as Disney+ and Hotstar.

ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Live Streaming

The 7th Edition of the ICC T20 World Cup was originally scheduled to be hosted in Australia but due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the tournament was cancelled by the Australian Government. Now, the 2020 edition of the tournament will be hosted by Australia in 2022 as India is likely to host the ICC Twenty20 World Cup Tournament 2021.

But, due to rising cases of the Coronavirus, BCCI is likely to postpone the tournament or should shift the tournament to UAE. As there is no confirmation to that, but the possibilities of the ICC T20 World Cup being hosted by the United Arab Emirates are high. We have to wait for few months as if the situation calms down in India, then surely India will be going to host the Tournament.

A total of 16 Teams will be participating in the ICC tournament which is divided into 2 Groups with Eight teams in each. Eight Teams including Australia, Pakistan, India, England, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, and Afghanistan directly qualify for the Super 12 Stage while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have not qualified for the Super 12s which means they have to compete in the Group Stage along with the six ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Qualifiers Teams which are Ireland, Oman, Netherlands, Scotland, Namibia, and Papua New Guinea.

T20 World Cup 2021 Venues

For the Twenty20 World Cup 2021, ICC announced Four venues where a total of 45-matches will be played. Here are the T20 World Cup 2021 Venues:

  • Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai (Capacity 25,000)
  • Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah (Capacity 16,000)
  • Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi (Capacity 20,000)
  • Oman Cricket Academy Ground, Muscat, (Capacity 3,000)

Till now, ICC decided to follow strict SOP’s due to Coronavirus as the tournament will be held under secure Bio-Bubble allowing 30% of the spectators to watch live matches. Although, it depends on the situation, whether 50% crowd will be allowed or it would be a full house with spectators to enjoy the tournament matches.
